Raiders Sign T.J. Houshyamomma

A little over a week ago when Carson Palmer was asked about free agent receiver Terrell Owens he said the Raiders didn’t need another wideout, that they had enough young guys who could get the job done. Well today the Raiders signed T.J. Houshmandzadeh who had his most productive years playing with Palmer in Cincinnati. Now this means one of two things, that Palmer and T.O. didn’t get along that well and that Palmer experienced enough of that last year and didn’t want to deal with the headache again. Or considering T.J. is more a possession receiver that he fits better in the offense and he and Palmer have better chemistry. I like to think it’s both. T.O. who is a known talker rubs people the wrong way, and while you didn’t hear much from him last year, Palmer probably didn’t give him a ringing endorsement and He’s more of a deep threat at this point of his career and the Raiders have plenty of those. Now that Palmer has his picked safety net, it’ll be interesting to see if the Raiders can make a playoff push as they are currently tied for 1st place.
