Cavs Rumored to be 3rd Team in Deal with Nets, Magic for Dwight Howard

As first reported by Ken Berger of CBS Sports the Brooklyn Nets looking for a third team to acquire Orlando Magic Center Dwight Howard have been in talks with Cleveland Cavs general manager Chris Grant.

While no trade imminent, the deal would surround Power Forward Kris Humphries who would go to the Cavs in a sign and trade deal, while the Cavs would be surrendering a few of their 7 first round picks that they have over the next three years.

While this deal would include other pieces that would go to Orlando, this trade scenario includes the Cavs as a third wheel in a deal that would primarily help only the Magic and Nets. With the Cavs able to sign Humprhies with no trade, and having to let go of draft picks which they covet, I don’t see what the Cavs get from being apart of this deal.

It has been bandied about that once the Cavs acquire the former Mr Kardashian they would then try to flip him for more assets whether they be draft picks or a wing scorer.
