LeBron James Leaves CAA, Hires Friend/Biz Parnter Rich Paul as Agent

LeBron James is once again changing agents, this time leaving CAA and Leon Rose and hiring his longtime friend and business partner Rich Paul who he co-founded LRMR Marketing which also included Maverick Carter and Randy Mims.

James was represented by Aaron Goodwin when he first entered the NBA, then switched to Leon Rose in 2005.

Rich Paul is also leaving CAA currently represents Tristan Thompson, Jonny Flynn and Corey Joesph.

While some will criticize the move by James to switch agents again, and having one of his friends to represent him, however, anyone that has followed his business moves, will see that he’s placed his friends in roles that are business oriented. They aren’t around just to fetch him coffee and tell him what he wants to hear.

You can say what you want about LeBron, but his business mind and team around him is one that will allow him to generate income and be relevant well after his career is done.
