Weeden, McCoy, and Richardson Ruled Out for Steelers Game

The Cleveland Browns are looking more like the walking wounded with all the injuries they suffered in week 16. Starting quarterback Brandon Weeden, and back up Colt McCoy are both out with shoulder injuries. Trent Richardson will sit with a sprained ankle.

To add insult to injury literally, Sheldon Brown is out with a concussion weakening an already thin secondary unit.

The Browns will start Thad Lewis who will make his first NFL start against the Pittsburgh Steelers. This will be the Browns 18th starting quarterback since 1999.

The Browns go in to this game with a chance to sweep the season series against the Steelers for the first time since 1988.

With both teams having nothing to play for except for pride and having good film on them for other potential teams, this game could get ugly with the Browns starting their 3rd string quarterback against the number 1 ranked defense statistically.

Also consider the Steelers under Ben Roethlisberger have experienced nothing but success against the Browns, so I can’t imagine the would want to end their season with a loss at the hands of the Browns which would cause them to finish under .500.
