Andy Roddick Ends Career with Loss at US Open

Andy Roddicks’ career has come to an anticlimactic close. He leaves his tennis racket behind after losing to Juan Martin Del Potro in 4 sets Wednesday after rain forced the matched to be suspended Tuesday.

Roddick leaves behind a career that saw him win 32 career titles that includes one major victory in 2003 winning the US Open the same year he captured the #1 ranking as well.

While Roddick may leave behind what some will classify his career as underwhelming, Roddick is doing something that most athletes don’t experience. He’s walking away from the game on his own terms. To enjoy the rest of his life with his beautiful wife and do what it is he likes with out the stress of living up to others expectations on the kind of tennis player he should be.
