If you didn’t know, Delonte West suffers from Bi Polar Disorder, and if you’ve followed his career at all, you’ll notice that he’s has a flare up every once in a while. Well Delonte was suspened after Tuesdays game for conduct detrimental to the team.
However, the suspension only lasted a day after he met with coach Rick Carlisle and General Manager and apparently cleared their issues.
Carlisle did acknowledge that you have to understand where Delontes’ point of view comes from.
“Most players in this league run on gas,Delonte runs on diesel. And so you’ve got to listen to him, and you’ve got to understand him. He’s a little different.”
Hopefully Delonte doesn’t have any more issues, it looks like he really fits in well in Dallas, would hate to see him lose it because of a medical condition.
Delonte West and the Dallas Mavericks quickly resolved Monday’s outburst in the locker room following a meeting with Rick Carlisle and Donnie Nelson.

West played 18 minutes and contributed seven points, four assists and two rebounds Wednesday against Phoenix.
West has bipolar disorder.
“You know exactly what you’re getting with D-West,” Mark Cuban said. “You just don’t know when.
“Delonte will tell you when it’s time to hunt, he’s the dog you want out there hunting for you; he’s the guy you want in the foxhole with you. He’s a warrior. The guys love that.”
